Certification is mandatory for participation in the Electronic Vehicle Title and Registration (EVTR) program.\nProgram Format\nThis is a virtual program consisting of self-paced video modules followed by a required live session.\nTo ensure you are fully prepared\, all video modules must be completed prior to attending the live overview and testing session.\nThe live session provides a summary and review of the material and includes testing. These classes have been curated to provide the vital skills and knowledge necessary for optimal performance in the titling and registration department. \nSales Tax \nMinnesota motor vehicle sales tax requirements can be complex.  In this class\, $10 and $150 in lieu taxes\, discounts\, rebates\, disabled modifications\, gift exemption\, divorce\, trusts\, and many other special situations and exemptions will be covered.  This class also explores the legal options for dealers titling vehicles for resale and dealership business use. \nNew to State \nThis class addresses transfers which create the first Minnesota Certificate of Title.  These include new vehicle sales\, leases\, and transfers based on out-of-state titles.  Also\, learn about special situations including secure reassignments\, secure powers of attorney\, dealer conditionals\, and special plates. \nMinnesota Titles and Transfers \nIn this class\, you will become proficient in the requirements for transferring ownership of Minnesota titled vehicles; use of Minnesota secure power of attorney and reassignment forms; how to correct ownership\, alterations\, or other incorrect information; and learn about common form attachments (transfer upon death\, repossessions\, grants or release of liens\, and more) \nRecommended Experience: This is not a beginner- level course\, and prior exposure to titling and registration is essential for success. We recommend that attendees have at least six months of titling experience or complete MADA’s Title Basics training prior to participation. \nPricing: \n\n$389 per person
