Career in Cars

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 Career in Cars Event at the Twin Cities Auto Show such a tremendous success. This year’s event welcomed 464 attendees and featured participation from dozens of schools and tech programs from across the state, including one traveling from Duluth and another focused on the business side of the automotive industry highlighting the wide range of career paths available in this field.

We are grateful to Lube-Tech, our event sponsor, for their continued support in helping connect students with real-world automotive career opportunities.

A special highlight of the day was our guest Jaime Hjelm from Netflix’s TexMex Motors, who spent time signing autographs, taking photos with attendees, and sharing her personal journey in the automotive industry. Her presence brought added excitement and inspiration to the event.

Students also had the chance to win $1,500 worth of Matco Tools, helping them take a meaningful step forward as they begin or continue their automotive careers.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all our participating dealerships for engaging with students and sharing your time, insight, and career opportunities. We also greatly appreciate the Minnesota State Transportation Center of Excellence for bringing their Career Development Trailer to both the Career in Cars event and the Auto Show, providing hands-on exploration and valuable resources for attendees.

We look forward to growing and expanding this event in the future. If you would like to participate in upcoming Career in Cars events, please contact Mike Olson.
