Electronic Vehicle Titling and Registration
EVTR Solutions
The Electronic Vehicle Titling and Registration (EVTR) program streamlines dealership operations by cutting data entry tasks by up to 85% in e-Services for Business. Through approved vendors that connect directly with your Dealer Management System (DMS), EVTR makes vehicle titling and registration faster, more accurate, and easier to manage. Your staff can complete transactions in minutes, reducing errors and improving efficiency.
Customers benefit too — they can receive their license plates on-site before they drive off the lot, eliminating the need for a follow-up visit. The EVTR program offers dealerships a seamless process and customers a smoother, more convenient experience from start to finish.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common title and registration questions.
How much does it cost to join the EVTR program?
There’s no upfront cost. EVTR is designed to pay for itself and even generate additional revenue for your dealership.
Will joining the EVTR program negatively impact my Deputy Registrar?
Not at all. EVTR simply streamlines your existing paperwork process. All transactions still go through your Deputy Registrar office as required.
I’m struggling with a title issue and can’t get help anywhere. What should I do?
The MADA Title Assist Hotline is here for you. By signing up, you can hand off your title challenges to us, and we’ll work toward a solution.
We recently lost our title clerk and can’t find a replacement. What are our options?
MADA offers Title Assist On-Site services for member dealers. Our team can come to your dealership and process transactions on your behalf.
We want to accept a trade-in from a company, but the new vehicle will be titled in the owner’s personal name. Is that allowed?
Yes, if the individual is the sole owner of the company, this is considered a valid trade-in and can be applied toward the new vehicle titled in their personal name.
My customer is a service-connected disabled veteran, but the system won’t allow the Title/Registration exemption. What’s wrong?
The exemption is limited to two vehicles. If your customer already has two exempt vehicles, they can pay the fees on an older vehicle at the Deputy Registrar office. After that, they can apply the exemption to the newer, more expensive vehicle.
