Title Basics is an on-demand course designed to help dealership staff understand the essentials of Minnesota title and registration. New hires, billers, F&I managers, and cross-trained team members can complete it anytime, anywhere.

The Certified Title & Registration Program is a structured, in-depth training path for dealership title professionals who want to advance their expertise. This program includes three instructor-led courses—Sales Tax, Minnesota Titles & Transfers, and New to State—each offered on scheduled dates throughout the year.

Attendees choose their session dates from the event calendar and complete all required classes and tests to earn official certification. Graduates gain a deeper understanding of complex transactions, edge cases, sales tax rules, and compliance requirements so they can support their dealership with greater accuracy and authority.

The Certified Title & Registration credential is valid for three (3) years. To remain certified, individuals must complete the Certified Title & Registration Recertification course before their certification expires.

The recertification consists of a quiz-only assessment and is available only to individuals who have previously completed the Certified Title & Registration Program and were officially certified.
The recertification quiz evaluates continued knowledge and understanding of Minnesota Title and Registration requirements, including:

• Sales Tax
• New-to-State Vehicles
• Minnesota Titles and Transfers

Successful completion of the recertification quiz is required to maintain certification and continued eligibility to participate in the Electronic Vehicle Title and Registration (EVTR) program.

 Minnesota now requires every dealership to have at least one sales representative who has completed the state’s official EV training course. This certification is in addition to any manufacturer-specific EV training and is essential for staying compliant while serving today’s growing base of EV shoppers.

MADA’s State-Mandated EV Certification Course is an on-demand training designed specifically for Minnesota dealerships. Staff can complete it at their own pace, gaining the EV knowledge, language, and confidence needed to guide customers through charging, incentives, total cost of ownership, and cold-climate considerations.

In addition to the on-demand option, on-site training can be arranged for teams who prefer a live, customized session.
